Customer Service Representative
Job Summary: Provides customer service to Pearland citizens who require service and/or repair related to Public Works functions. This position provides administrative assistance to supervisors and co-workers which aids in the daily functions of the department as a whole, as well as assists in the processing of payroll and data entry.
Essential Functions
Regular and timely attendance at work.
Answer phones and provide customer service; dispatch service technicians for repair calls.
Create and close work orders for line locate requests.
Assist with processing payroll.
Create work orders requested by residents and City crew members.
Assist with crew and residential work order closings.
Assist with printing scheduled inspections and entering inspection results.
Perform miscellaneous clerical duties such as copying, filing, and sorting or distributing mail.
Report street light outages as necessary.
Contribute to team effort by performing other related duties as assigned.
Manage spreadsheets using Microsoft Excel to track temporary fire hydrants, right of way permits, and other information.
Order and maintain office supply inventory.
Education:
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Minimum 5 years of customer service in a clerical office setting required.
Typing speed of 60 wpm minimum required.
